1. General Provisions

1.1. These Terms of Service (hereinafter - "Agreement") govern the relationship between the owner of the Compressify service (hereinafter - "Compressify", "we", "us", "our") and the user (hereinafter - "User", "you", "your") regarding the use of the file compression and conversion web service.

1.2. By using the Compressify service, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to comply with the terms of this Agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

1.3. This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the country where Compressify is located. All disputes arising from this Agreement shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts at the location of Compressify, unless otherwise provided by applicable law.

2. Service Description

2.1. Compressify provides an online service for compressing and converting files of various formats, including images, documents and audio files.

2.2. The service is provided "as is" and is available under the terms described in this Agreement.

2.3. The service is provided to users completely free of charge. Compressify does not charge for basic file compression and conversion functions.

2.4. We reserve the right to change, update or discontinue the functionality of the service at any time without prior notice.

2.5. The service uses Yandex advertising networks to display relevant ads and Yandex.Metrica to analyze user behavior.

2.6. Using the service requires a stable internet connection. The maximum size of uploaded files is unlimited. Supported file formats include but are not limited to: JPEG, JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, MP3, TIFF, BMP, SVG, MP4, AVI, MKV, WAV, AAC, OGG, DNG.

2.7. For commercial and automated use of the service, an official API is provided. Any attempts to automate interaction with the service bypassing the official API are prohibited.

3. Terms of Use

3.1. Registration is not required to use the basic functions of the service. Some additional features may require creating an account.

3.2. You guarantee that:

• You are at least 16 years old or you are using the service under the supervision of a parent or guardian. Users under 13 years of age are prohibited from using the service in accordance with international child data protection regulations (e.g., COPPA in the US and GDPR in the EU).
• You will provide accurate and up-to-date information when registering
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials
• You agree to the use of cookies and similar technologies to store authentication tokens and other technical data
• You agree to the processing of your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the applicable laws of your country

4. Usage Restrictions

4.1. You agree not to use the Compressify service for:

• Uploading, processing or distributing illegal, harmful, threatening, defamatory, obscene or otherwise objectionable content
• Violating intellectual property rights, including copyrights and trademarks
• Distributing viruses, trojans or other malicious code
• Attempting unauthorized access to the service or related systems
• Automated data collection or creating excessive load on the service
• Any actions that violate applicable laws and regulations
• Blocking or modifying advertising materials placed on the service
• Using the service for the purpose of illegal process automation, bypassing the official commercial API of the site
• Using parsing scripts, bots or similar automated means to interact with the service without explicit permission from Compressify

5. Intellectual Property

5.1. All rights to the Compressify service, including software, design, logos and content, belong to us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

5.2. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service in accordance with this Agreement.

5.3. You retain all rights to the files you upload for processing. However, you grant us the right to temporarily store and process these files solely to provide the service. In case of errors during file compression/conversion, you allow us to save the original file solely for the purposes of diagnosing and fixing errors in compression scripts, without the right to publish or transfer it to third parties. Such files are stored for no more than 7 days from the moment the error is fixed.

6. Limitation of Liability

6.1. The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free.

6.2. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for:

• Any direct, indirect, incidental, special or punitive damages arising from the use or inability to use the service
• Loss or damage of data resulting from use of the service
• Actions or inactions of third parties, including other users
• Any unauthorized access to your data or its modification
• The content of advertising materials placed on the service

6.3. You use the service at your own risk. You are responsible for backing up important data before processing it through our service.

7. Privacy

7.1. The processing of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is an integral part of this Agreement.

7.2. We take reasonable measures to protect your data, but cannot guarantee absolute security when transmitting over the internet.

7.3. We use cookies and similar technologies to ensure the operation of the service, including storing authentication tokens. Except for technologies used by Yandex services, this data does not contain information that allows identification of a specific user.

8. Agreement Changes

8.1. We reserve the right to change or update this Agreement at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a new version of the Agreement on our website.

8.2. Continued use of the service after such changes means you agree to the updated terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you must stop using the service.

9. Access Termination

9.1. We may temporarily or permanently restrict or terminate your access to the service without prior notice and without liability to you if we reasonably believe that you have violated the terms of this Agreement.

9.2. You may stop using the service at any time.

10. Dispute Resolution

10.1. In case of disputes, we encourage you to first contact us to find a mutually acceptable solution.

10.2. If a dispute cannot be resolved through negotiations, it shall be resolved in accordance with the laws of the country where Compressify is located. The parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that country, unless otherwise provided by applicable law.

10.3. If any part of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable under the laws of your country, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of the Agreement, which shall remain in full force and effect.

11. Final Provisions

11.1. If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.

11.2. Our inaction or delay in exercising any right or remedy under this Agreement shall not be construed as a waiver of that right or remedy.

11.3. This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and Compressify regarding the use of the service and supersedes all prior agreements and understandings.

13. Language Versions

This Terms of Service may be translated into other languages for user convenience. In case of discrepancies between translated versions and the Russian version, the Russian version of the document posted at: https://compressify.pro/ru/terms shall prevail.
