What happens to transparency
PNG can have a transparent background; PDF pages cannot. Where the PNG is see-through, the converter fills the area with solid white before placing the image, because that is what a printed or viewed page shows anyway. The visible artwork is untouched — only the empty transparency becomes white.
Everything else is copied across at full resolution. PNG is lossless, so the picture inside the PDF is pixel-for-pixel the screenshot or graphic you started with; the file simply gains a document wrapper.
When PNG to PDF is the right move
Forms, ticketing systems and print services often accept only PDF. A screenshot of a confirmation, a logo for a print run, a diagram for a report — wrapping it in a PDF is the fastest way to make it accepted without editing the image itself.
Each PNG becomes a single one-page PDF; combining several images into one multi-page document is not handled here.
Common questions
What happens to the transparent background?
It is filled with white, since a PDF page has no transparency. The visible part of the image is unchanged — only the see-through areas become a solid white background.
Does the PNG lose quality inside the PDF?
No. PNG is lossless and it is embedded at full resolution, so the image in the PDF matches the original exactly.
Can I merge several PNGs into one PDF?
Not with this tool — each PNG becomes its own single-page PDF. Assembling several images into one document is a separate task.
